The Church, as seen above and in other pictures, is fairly modern, having been built in 1963. The approach is by steps to a large foyer. The Sanctuary is reached via a small lobby, with the Minister’s vestry and a creche – with a loudspeaker from the church audio system – opening off it.
Interior of Church
The Sanctuary has seating for some two hundred people. There is an elevated pulpit, and an organ built in 1977. There are also a small electronic organ and a piano. There is wheelchair access, and a Loop system for those using hearing aids equipped with the ‘T’ switch.
Coffee and tea served at the rear of the church
The congregation generally gathers in a large space at the back of the church for coffee, tea and a chat with friends after the morning service.
Epsom Choral Society Concert in the church
Dramatic production and concerts are occasionally held in the church – ‘Murder in the Cathedral’ was performed during our Tercentenary Year – and recently Epsom Choral Society presented a sell-out concert.
